This is what I have
been told by people from the area.
The Edna Collins Covered Bridge crosses Little Walnut Creek on County Road 450
North in Putnam County. This single span Burr Arch Truss structure has a length
of 80 feet, or 96 feet including the 8-foot overhang at each end, is 15 feet
wide and 13 feet 6 inches high. Built in 1922 by Charles Hendrix to replace a
concrete bridge that washed out, the Edna Collins Covered Bridge was constructed
of Mississippi pine and listed in the 1989 World Guide as #14-67-06 ... in the
February 1941 "Indiana History Bulletin" Robert B. Yule and Richard C. Smith
assigned the designation "fn" to this Covered Timber Bridge located in Section
20, Township 15 North, and Range 5 West, about 1 mile northwest of Clinton
Falls.
The Edna Collins Covered Bridge is "generally" considered haunted ... it is said
that sometime in the early 1920's a little girl would swim in the stream, which
the bridge crosses. At the end of the day her parent would drive into the
covered bridge, turn off the motor, and honk three times telling the little girl
it was time to leave. One day the something had happened to the little girl
causing her to drown. Her mother was so upset and could not handle that her
daughter was gone that she went to the bridge and hanged herself from one of the
rafters .

We had went to Indiana
February the 4th to see family members and was told about the bridge. I had a
chance to go to it with my daughter ,her husband, and a close friend of mine.
The weather was very cold but a starry clear night. When we arrived it was
around 10:00 P. M and where the bridge is located is off a main highway about 3
miles where there is nothing around but one home that is about 1/2 mile away and
the rest is woods and cornfields. We parked the Van on the bridge and turned off
the motor, I had gotten out of the Van and was standing to one side of the
bridge about 12 feet or so away from the Van when I heard whistling coming from
the other side of the bridge. I stood there listening hearing all kinds of
noises that I didn't know what they were. My daughter and her husband got out
and was standing next to me when we all heard the sound of a little child
laughing. It startled my daughter and her husband so bad they Ran back to the
van and locked the doors...

This is me while standing on the inside of the bridge and I heard a child laughing.
Matt also heard the laughing.
We did not get any
concrete evidence that night to prove that it has paranormal activity, But with
all the sounds and the laughter we all heard and experienced that night, I can't
say it's not!
My team and I along with RVPRI from AR, will be going back soon. Hopefully this
time we will have the opportunity to get solid proof of paranormal activity...
