My name is
Anita, I am Cherokee, kickapoo and blackfoot. My given name is Nogosa Quy
meaning (star lady,One who see's).
I have always been interested in the spirit world since I was a child listening
to my grandmother talk and tell her stories. While my other cousins where out
and about playing or doing the teenage thing, I spent most of my time a loner
and listening to her to gain her wisdom and knowledge to understand the things I
had no answers for. I started hanging out in places that where claimed to be
visited by spirits (GHOST) and trying to understand what I could do to help the
others who were experiencing the spirit world as I had done as a child. I lived
most of my adult life in a small northern town until I moved to Oklahoma 5 yrs
ago.
Since Then my husband and I founded N.A.G.S (Native American Ghost Society). We
did this for the purpose to not only have a chance to maybe help others have
peace of mind, But for the proof that (the spirit world is very real) we face it
in our everyday life. Some shut it out while others indulge in it...We have a
burning desire to enter into the world of the unknown and to prove that there is
a spiritual realm. Our view on ghost and hauntings specifically, is that there
is overwhelming evidence that the phenomena are quite real. What they are
exactly, how and why they manifest in our reality, of course is a mystery. Who
is to say where one stops and the other begins? As in human spirit, does it
start at Conception? Or does it end at bodily death? Or does it go into a new
journey?? Being Native Americans we were all brought up with the spirit world.
We give it the utmost respect. This is a quote from a great man that I try to
live by.Live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart.
Trouble no one about their religion; respect others in their view, and demand
that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life, and beautify all
things in your life. Seek to make your life long and its purpose in the service
of your people. Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the
great divide. Always give a word or a sign of salute when meeting or passing a
friend, even a stranger, when in a lonely place. Show respect to all people and
grovel to none. When you arise in the morning give thanks for the food and for
the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies only
in yourself. Abuse no one and no thing, for abuse turns the wise ones to fools
and robs the spirit of its vision. When it comes your time to die, be not like
those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time
comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again
in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home. “We are
not human beings on a spiritual path but spiritual beings on a human path."
My name is Melven, I am from the
Cheyenne and Arapaho tribe in Oklahoma. I have always been interested in the
spirit world, It is apart of our teachings and upbringing. My wife and I founded
N.A.G.S (native American ghost society) in hopes to help others understand and
also for us to prove that the spirit world is real to the ones who do not
believe. I am a professional nurse by trade , I went into the field to help
others in need and I have been with the profession for the past 29 yrs. I
love to have family time with my family and sitting in a sweat praying, as well
as going on an investigation.
Everything has an answer, When it is given to us, only then will we know.
Hi, My name is Chris, I love investigating the paranormal and other unexplained things, anything that freaks people out or scares the crap out of them, I want to go check it out! I have had things that happened to me when I was young that I couldn't figure out so this stuff has always had my interest. I love also love the outdoors, snow skiing, hiking, camping, and just hanging out with friends and family.......
Hi, I am Stephania, I got into the paranormal research after my husband Chris joined. I can remember when I was a teenager that my friends and I would go out to the old abandoned cement plant and to the old Indian Cemeteries and walk around seeing what we might see or hear. I have had my share of experiences and even though I had believed in the paranormal bt was still somewhat skeptic. I will say that since I have been doing this with my husband, I have no doubts about what might be out there now. This has been a good bonding experience for Chris and I to being doing something we both enjoy together.

Jennifer
Hello my name is Jennifer Hough. I am 25 years old and was born December 29, 1982. I was born and raised in Lawton, Oklahoma. The only other place I have lived is Florida. I am the oldest of four children ad i have two half brothers and a half sister. I attended one year of school in Florida and the rest here in Lawton. I graduated from Lawton High School in 2001. I currently attend Cameron University to get my teaching degree. I am employed as a three year old teacher at Wee Care Inn daycare. I have my Childhood Development Associate Credentials (cda). I will have been married for three years on October 29th. My husband is employed by Budweiser. We are currently trying to start a family and have two dogs and lots of cats. I have been interested in the paranormal since junior high or high school. My dad and I moved into a house in Lawton. I always felt that I was never alone but was never scared. I felt that if I would turn real fast I would catch whatever it was. It would be especially strong in the den which due to a fire no longer exists. Also things would vanish only to show up a little later where you had just looked. I really believe that there are things among us but also remain a little skeptic because not everything is what it seems and not everyone can be trusted.

Jen

My name is Jen; I’m 34 years old and married with four
children. I was born in Lawton, OK and I’m an active member of the Caddo
Nation. I
have been interested in the paranormal from a very young age and I’ve always
believed there is more to the world than what science currently
gives us. As a child, I would listen to family members recount their
experiences with the paranormal, this led me to have a very open mind
when it comes to the unknown. In my spare time, I research Native American
genealogy and coach/play softball. Professionally, I have a
MBA and an undergraduate degree in Management that I utilize in my marketing
career. It is only through the grace of God that I have been
able accomplish what I have in my life, and also the fact that I am a Christian,
and very proud to be one.
